Too hot to be hungover

It is max 31 degrees today in Osaka.

I am so hungover after a night on peach Chu Hai and karaoke.

I managed to drag my ass out of bed at 2pm, and walk down the road to the drink machine and get a black aspirin (coke). Now I am sitting in the lounge room with the air con on, and this is where I will remain until I got out to dinner tonight. Although I won’t be drinking, as it is just too hot to be hungover. I thought I would never hear the words come from my mouth, must be a sign that I am becoming a responsible adult or something.

Our friends Kat and Kurt and Lara and Fred are here, but leaving today. Last night Kurt left his bag on the street with his passport, Kat’s wallet with $260 in it, and some rice cakes. He was pretty distraught but while we were out looking for it, a woman rode past on her bike to tell us she had just taken the bag to the police.

Hon and Kurt went down there and the police payed Kurt out about the ‘pinku bear’ that was hanging off his bag. Kurt didn’t care about the Police being assholes, as he said that they were still 100% nicer than cops in Australia.

All in all it only took one hour from when we realised we had lost the bag to when we got it back. People in Japan make you never want to steal or be mean ever again.

Kat and Kurt and Hon also got me a new bike as a present yesterday, and when they gave it to me I cried. My pinku bike was impounded or stolen, so I have been bikeless for about three weeks, but too tired from work to do anything about it.

It was a really nice day yesterday.
